Recipe for Disaster

The ingredient list,
The instructions...
The perfect recipe.
Three cups flour,
One cup sugar,
Two parts water,
Ten parts luck.

Simmer gently,
Fifteen minutes
Drain and serve.

So elementary
Yet complex...
What if the oven
Gets too hot?
Boil overs?
But salt and sugar
Look so alike!

Uncontrollable factors
Turn perfect and simple
Into a mess.
